Conflict resolution experts had been sent to engage the family members who had barricaded themselves into the home. When the Carabinieri arrived soon after 03:00 (01:00 GMT), investigators think one of the siblings caused the detonation.

Petrol bombs were also discovered at the property, the Interior Minister stated.

As stated by the Verona prosecutor, the property was in a dilapidated shape and had was without power.
The official was convinced the detonation had occurred on a level above the access point and stated to the press it was a âintentional and planned killingâ. Moments before the blast, he revealed officers had ânoticed a hissing sound, probably the propane tanks being openedâ.
