Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window

A jet carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The plane touched down following standard protocol and everyone onboard, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.

This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has suffered technical problems.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane carrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was required to head back to Washington DC after encountering a technical issue.
