Previous BBC Consultants Participate in Members of Parliament's Grilling After Claims of Prejudice in Leaked Memorandum

Previous BBC advisers speaking before Members of Parliament

We open with inquiries from Conservative lawmaker the committee chair, that oversees the committee.

She initiates by providing background to the unauthorized memo authored by Michael Prescott and released in the Telegraph.

"It is not my wish for the BBC slanting toward one side or the other, My only wish is for it balanced, fair and just," he states.

When asked whether he considers the BBC is structurally prejudiced, Prescott replies: "Absolutely not. To be clear, tons of stuff the BBC produces is top-tier - both informative and fictional content."

However, he continues: "There exists real work that requires attention at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

A further previous consultant BBC specialist interviewed by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she views the BBC very seriously and that it has a "ongoing system and lively discussion" across evolving and intricate issues.

"Was the BBC willing to have a proper dialogue and exchange and implement changes?" she reflects. "From my perspective, indeed, they were."
