The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

Young golfer preparing for significant competition

Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile backers when she starts her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.

This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, owns several international courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.

She mentioned that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just don't get nervous."

"My grandpa essentially suggested to compete and have fun," she added.

"In my eyes, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's rather occupied."

While still amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He represents the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"And he's a more impressive human being. He told me to compete, relax, adapting to the flow."

The golfer will compete against several top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, featuring world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers stated that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to different demographics, especially reaching youth audiences.

The social media influencer boasts a massive following and has started a personal fashion and living label.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
